Abstract:

Cakile maritima is commonly known as European sea rocket in North America or sea rocket in Britain and Ireland. It is highly demanded in herbal medicine due to its extensive medical, pharmacological, ethnomedicinal, and conventional properties and uses such as antioxidant, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and anti-proliferative potential. The fruit and aerial part of Cakile maritima contains various chemical constituents which possess medicinal properties.
